Welcome back, Gospel Chums!

Today's comic strip is one I drew back in 2015 but due to health and time reasons, etc, have not been able to color and upload until now. Yes, yes, I know it's not New Years, but this strip is behind schedule enough as it is! Stay in your Bible, Gospel Chums, and do everything as God has commanded you, because God wants you to be victorious and He has given you a love letter that is His Word to instruct you in how to live a life free from enslavement to sin. He wants what is best for us and His commandments are against things that will hurt and destroy us. "For I know the plans I have for you"—this is the Lord’s declaration—"plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). The enemy, Satan, is like a thief who comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. Jesus came so that we may have life and have it in abundance (John 10:10). Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour (1 Peter 5:8). Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Christ said, “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me." (John 15:5)! Not that we can't do anything, but I'm talking about things we do for God in His service, etc, things we can't do by ourselves, though we might try. And obeying God's laws and commands is something we can't do apart from the power of Christ's Holy Spirit that He gives us to dwell inside of us. The Holy Spirit empowers us like a battery for Christ's service! With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). All things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28). Christ also said, "If you love Me, you will keep My commands" and "The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him" (John 14:15,21).
